The tweaking continues....

I'm still working out the bugs in the server, the gallery, and the web site.  I reinstalled Gallery 2.0.  The reason I went back to it is due to not finding any other gallery script that did what I wanted it to.  At least I did not have to upload all of the photos again.  I just used the import function Gallery has builtin.
The next issue I ran into was that pages, specifically heavy with photos, would not load.  Turns out mod_evasive is being a little too evasive, so I'm in the process of tweaking that.
Mod_security is another security module I installed that needs continued tweaking.  I guess it is for the good.
I also added a Howto section to the site.

Replaced failing hard drive and video card

I took the server down for about 30 minutes this afternoon to replace one of the new hard drives I installed recently.  Not sure why it died.  A fluke I guess.  I also had to replace a pci video card that was not working properly when I plugged in the monitor.

Reinstalled Server

I reinstalled the web server today.  Main reason was I got two new Seagate 160gb ide drives.  I installed those and then reinstalled CentOS, this time with version 4.4.  Took me a good part of the day to get everything back up and running.  Core services seem to be working fine.  I'm sure I missed stuff and broke some things.  I'll get to fixing that.
As for the gallery, looks like I'll be using Coppermine gallery software instead of the Gallery.  Seems to be easier to install and use.
